As president of EyeSight MD in Orange, California, Dr. David Sami specializes in treating pediatric and adult patients with strabismus, which causes misalignment of the eyes. In over 15 years as a practicing ophthalmologist, he has treated more than 20,000 patients for strabismus and other conditions. Dr. David Sami's academic and research interests include ocular prosthesis motility, retinopathy of prematurity, and the visual effects of traumatic brain injury.

In preparation for his career, Dr. Sami attended the University of California, Los Angeles School of Medicine, earning a medical degree. He then went on to complete an internship at UCLA Medical Center and his residency in ophthalmology at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco. Dr. Sami also completed a fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology/Adult Strabismus at Harvard Medical School program at Children's Hospital of Boston.

Dr. Sami is Board Certified by the American Academy of Ophthalmology and an active fellow of the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus (AAPOS). Dr. David Sami maintains staff privileges at St. Joseph's Hospital and Children's Hospital of Orange County, where he previously served as division chief of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus.
